Colts' Richardson Needs Change of Scenery

According to ESPN's Aaron Schatz, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. is among NFL players who could benefit from a 'change of scenery' this offseason.

Richardson's early performances with Indianapolis haven't met expectations. As a rookie in 2023, he posted a 45.0 QBR in four starts, followed by a 47.4 QBR in 11 starts in 2024. He missed most of the 2025 season due to a fractured orbital bone suffered during pregame warmups.

With the Colts expected to sign Daniel Jones to a contract extension and rising second-year quarterback Riley Leonard showing promise, the 24-year-old Richardson, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, faces an uncertain future with the team and carries a $10.8M cap hit for next season.
