Red Sox Add Versatile Seigler

The Boston Red Sox have added infield depth by acquiring versatile player Anthony Seigler, a 26-year-old Navajo who has experience at multiple positions.

Anthony Seigler joins the Red Sox after playing 25 games at third base for the Brewers in 2025. The 26-year-old from Cartersville, Georgia was a first-round draft pick by the Yankees and is just the second Navajo player in MLB history, following Jacoby Ellsbury.

Seigler brings versatility to the Boston roster, having played catcher, second base, and third base in his professional career. While he struggled at the plate in limited MLB action (.194 with one double in 62 at-bats), he showed promise in Triple-A with a .285/.414/.478 slash line and a 20% walk rate.
