The 24-year-old shot-stopper, born in England to Nigerian parents, has been granted eligibility to don the Super Eagles colors. Standing at 1.98 meters, Okonkwo has been in impressive form for Wrexham this season, featuring in 31 matches and keeping 7 clean sheets.
Previously representing England at youth international levels (U15-U18), Okonkwo came through the Arsenal youth system. With Stanley Nwabili currently without a club, the towering goalkeeper could be a genuine contender for the starting position if called up by Super Eagles coach Eric Chel.
