Lincoln Stuns No. 2 O'Dea in Regional Basketball Upset

Lincoln High School pulled off a stunning 71-58 upset over No. 2 O'Dea in a 3A state tournament regional game, sending a message from Tacoma to Seattle.

Tacoma's Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed, answered the Seattle basketball hype with a dominant performance, defeating favored No. 2 O'Dea 71-58 in Saturday's regional round at Bellevue College. The win was fueled by stellar play from sophomore duo Davion Shareef-Dulaney (22 points) and Justus Holt (23 points), who executed their game plan to perfection.

Lincoln's victory gives the Abes a bye into the 3A state tournament quarterfinals next Thursday at the Tacoma Dome. The win marked a statement for Tacoma basketball, as Lincoln coach Ryan Rogers noted his team "wanted this game" and "rose to the occasion" against the Metro League powerhouse.
