Rams Outlast Spartans 85-73

Colorado State defeated San Jose State 85-73 on Saturday, with the Rams' efficient offense overcoming the Spartans' spirited play.

For much of the game, San Jose State showed it could compete with Colorado State, one of the Mountain West's hottest teams. The Spartans shot 52% in the first half and led briefly in the second half behind Colby Garland's 28 points and 8 assists.

However, Colorado State's precision offense proved too much to handle. The Rams shot 62% from the field and 53% from three, with Brandon Rechsteiner scoring 15 first-half points on five three-pointers. San Jose State couldn't sustain its defensive energy down the stretch, allowing the Rams to pull away for the victory.
