VAR drama sees Manchester United climb to third

Manchester United won 2‑1 at Old Trafford after a VAR‑checked penalty, climbing to third place in the Premier League.

The match opened with Maxence Lacroix scoring in the 4th minute from a corner. After the break, Matheus Cunha was tackled and fell in the 16‑meter box, leading to a VAR‑checked penalty and a red card for Lacroix. Bruno Fernandes converted the penalty to give United a 1‑0 lead.

A few minutes later, Benjamin Sesko scored for Palace, but United responded with a second goal from Fernandes. The win gave United three points and moved them up to third in the table, while Palace dropped to 15th.
