New York Giants Release LB Bobby Okereke

The New York Giants are releasing veteran linebacker Bobby Okereke to save $9 million against the salary cap next season.

Okereke, who turns 30 in July, led the team with 78 tackles and two interceptions last season while serving as a captain.

The release saves the Giants $9 million in cap space as they look to overhaul the position.
