Ehlers Hat Trick Lifts Hurricanes Over Canucks

Nikolaj Ehlers recorded a hat trick with an empty-net goal to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 6-4 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.

Sean Walker, Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho each contributed a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes (39-16-6), while Seth Jarvis added two helpers. Brandon Bussi stopped 18 of 22 shots in the win.

The Canucks (18-36-7) took a 2-1 lead in the first period but couldn't hold on. Filip Hronek registered a goal and two assists for Vancouver, while Brock Boeser and Nils Hoglander also scored. The loss extends Vancouver's losing streak to seven games.
